Job Description

We are looking for childcare practitioners who are passionate about their work and share in our vision for providing a quality environment for children, parents and employees.


The employer is a busy, privately run nursery with children from 6 months to 5 years and are looking to fill a full-time role in one of our HighScope run classrooms.


You will need to demonstrate dedication, flexibility, use of initiative and excellent time keeping skills as well as an excellent rapport with children, colleagues, and parents.

Skills and Qualifications

Relevant Qualifications (minimum Level 5/6)
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar environment
Excellent classroom management skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Fluent English
Excellent time keeping
Initiative
The ability to be a team player
Garda vetted

Conditions Offered:


Type of contract : Full time/ Permanent
Number of working Hours/ week : 40 hrs per week between the hours of 7.45am and 6.15pm
Breaks/Holidays : 15 min am and pm breaks and 30 min lunch break / 20 days leave per year mostly taken at set closures during Easter/Summer/Christmas
Position : Initially working as a floater in all rooms covering breaks etc and once settled in and if position arrises can apply for a position within a room setting
Hourly Pay rate: Dependent on quals and experience - generally starting at around €10.75 per hour
Induction Period :1-2 weeks induction before left on own with children / 3-month probation period
Benefits packages: lunch allowance which equates to €6 each day worked - €120 per month paid through a bank account at the end of month
Provision of training for First aid / Manual Handling / Food Handling and budgets in place for any evening courses organised for relevant subjects
