We are currently looking for Residential Support Workers to work in Ofsted registered school located in Corbridge, Northumberland.

The Employer:
The employer is the largest independent provider of care and education for children and young adults aged between 7 and 25, with more than 200 facilities, Specialist Schools and fostering offices located in England and Wales. This employer has won several awards in the last years for the best quality behavioral health services in the UK.

You will be working with young adults aged between 16 and 25 years old who need extra support or require an advanced program of learning in order to reach their full educational potential.

The residents of the school have moderate to severe learning disabilities. The school prides itself with a person-centred curriculum, providing education based on the special needs of the residents. They have developed individual learning schemes for every individual leading the path to a supported individual life, where the residents can work and live their life to its fullest potential.

The school accommodates young adults, each of them having a keyworker overseeing their health, learning and development programmes.

A key aspect of working in this field is identifying individual needs and being responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.

Located in Corbridge, Northumberland, the school offers you the possibility to explore the entire area full of historical places like castles and roman ruins, exquisite natural experience and outdoor sports, big shopping centres and night life like pubs and restaurants.

Job requirements

  • Willingness to learn as training will be provided
  • Passion for working with (vulnerable) children with behavioural problems/challenging behaviour


  • Permanent, full time contract with 40 h/week
  • Competitive Salary depending on experience and qualifications:
    • Hourly Pay Rate – from £8.80
    • Annual Gross Salary from £18,304
    • Monthly Gross Salary from £1,525
